Behavior Expectations
Classroom/Monroe Expectations
1. Be Responsible 2. Be Respectful 3. Be Safe
We will use a clip chart to document and encourage students to follow behavior expectations.
Students start on green on a daily basis and can clip up the chart to blue and purple. A green day doesn't mean your child wasn't exceptionally well behaved, but blue and purple are saved for special, out of the ordinary work or behavior. It is a reward to be able to be considered a role model for other students.
Not following expectations will required a clip down to yellow-warning, orange-consequence of the teacher's choice (time out of fun activity, additional practice, etc), or red-consequence and parent contact. (it's the rainbow backwards). note that students are able to clip up or down throughout the day.
These will be documented in student's assignment books on a daily basis. Quarterly school wide incentives are planned for students who are able to follow expectations.
Students should not have more than 6 clip down (note that orange is 2 down, and red is 3 down the chart), in a quarter. If students are frequently clipping down, additional training and practice will be provided. We want all students in our class to succeed and meet our behavior goals!
Quarterly Behavior Incentives
Students must have no more than 6 clip moves down to participate in incentives.
Quarter 1-Picnic and the park
Quarter 2-Guest Visitor
Quarter 3-Game Day
Quarter 4-Ice Cream Truck
